Thank you Joel and Anna, for being part of our lives. You welcomed us onto the street all those years ago - 10yrs+ and have been great friends ever since. Joel always climbing up ladders and fixing things - reminding me of my dad. Joel Created our first free library in our area on our street. He taught us new games from all over the world! We still need to practice "Go!". We all loved listening to his wonderful stories about his life and his bees. He showed our girls how honey was made from his beekeeping. We still remember that time we couldn't go into the garden as they all decided to come out for a while and swarm over our garden. However, your tales from life experiences Joel were the best. We remember your car getting "stolen". Apparently, he had gone out with a friend and parked the car in a multi-storey car park. At the end of the evening on returning to the car park the car was gone! Joel's friend put him in touch with someone who had a car for sale and Joel bought it straightaway. A few days later Joel decided to return to the car park where his car was stolen and guess what? The "thief" who had stolen the car returned it to the exact same spot, just on a different level! :-). The story ended with his contagious husky laugh. Our one regret is that our families do not have a photo together. We are sure you are not resting - as that is not really you, but we know you are in peace and for that we are grateful. We will miss you, Joel. Much love Lisa, Fergus, Leah & Lily xxxx
